How to store everything inside the big box

Hello Chicken Army!
While we wait for mass production to finish, we want to share more about the game and expansions you will receive.
We have been trying to update at least once per month since the start of the year but we will now aim to have more constant updates, even if there is very little to share about the production status. We are extremely grateful for your patience and support, really, you all have been amazing at bearing with us with the different delays that have impacted the project. For your understanding we decided to upgrade many components as communicated in previous updates (cardboard banners, resin egg-shields, interior box liner, DrD promo card). Thank you once again for all your support and patience, you are the best backers, our dear chicken army.
Yesterday we had a call with our manufacture partner (Panda GM). The current production report from the factory is: The non-printed components have been started. The production team is working on getting stuff going for the printed components and printing plates for all language versions, which takes a bit of the front-end of the process.
We will be sharing more production reports and pictures that the factory sent us as we receive them.
Storing all components in the Big Box: Step by Step
We took some pictures of the new tray design and proof of how all expansions fit in the box. For the purposes of this demonstration, all cards have been previously sleeved and components in punchboards have been punched out.
Here are all the components included in the base game, Kickstarter Exclusive box, and mini expansions for Cluckthulhu, Yolk-Sothoth and Dragon Mamma.
Cluckthulhu pack includes 1 large miniature, 1 rulesheet, 1 character card, 8 path cards. Yolk-Sothoth and Dragon Mamma each include their miniatures and character cards.
In the Kickstarter Exclusive box you will find the extra miniatures with their own plastic tray and lid, cards, cloth bag, resin egg shields, chicken meeples, 5th player components. (In the picture, cards have been sleeved already and the cardboard components punched-out)
The game includes ziplock bags to store separately all player-components of each color (5 dice, 3 resources of each type, resin eggs shields, 2 lava/neutral tiles, 1 base tile, 2 cardboard shield markers, 1 reference card, 6 chicken tokens, 3 humiliation tags, 6 chicken meeples in their own ziplock bag)
This is the new layout of the bottom tray for the base game.
The sleeved scroll cards fit in 2 separate wells.
Sleeved unit cards are placed above the scroll cards.
All 5 ziplock bags with each the player components of each color can be placed vertically in the well above the cards.
The cloth bag (used mostly to shuffle the resource tokens at the beginning of the game) can be stored next to the cards. The plastic tray with the Kickstarter-Exclusive miniatures fits perfectly in the other well adjacent to the cards.
Cluckthulhu and Yolk-Sothoth miniatures and trays should be placed in the largest well.
Dragon Mamma miniatures and tray can be placed on top of Yolk-Sothoth without any problem. You can store Cluckthulhu's rulesheet besides Cluckthulhu's tray. We also recommend storing the path cards and character cards for Cluckthulhu and Yolk-Sothoth in a separate ziplock bag next to the rulesheet, but you can also store them with the rest of the cards.
Close the bottom tray with its lid to keep any components from moving.
The small well in the lid where your punchboards will be located can be used to place the player banners and terrain tiles.
Place the tray with the minis on top. We have included a printed reference sheet in the Kickstarter-Exclusive Box for your convenience while storing your minis on their tray.
Place the rulebook on top.
Close the box and feel the satisfaction of carrying all of Chicken Island in a single box with linen finish and shiny spot uv.
Resin Dice Set
As we have mentioned in past updates, there was a big misunderstanding with the resin blood&bone dice in our manufacturer quote. So the base game will still include the different colored acrylic dice and all backers will receive 1 player set (5 dice) of resin blood&bone dice in their Kickstarter Exclusive box (for the 5th player components).
Because of the unique look of these dice, some of you were very interested to buy as an add-on the complete set of blood&bone dice so we asked our manufacturer to quote a limited print run of them. This add-on includes 20 resin blood&bone dice for the first 4 players and 1 player set (5 dice) of the acrylic green dice so you can choose whether you want all dice at the table to be colored or to be blood&bone.
You can now buy the add-on here and in July 15th our team will proceed to charge and merge this item with your pledge survey. This item is currently in production too so you will receive it along with your other rewards.
This is also the last chance to get Cluckthulhu and Yolk-Sothoth (same link) and we will merge those to your original order as well.

Guardando todos los componentes en la caja: paso a paso

Las tarjetas de unidades con micas se colocan encima de las cartas de pergamino.
Las 5 bolsas ziplock con cada uno de los componentes del jugador de cada color se pueden colocar verticalmente en el compartimento superior a las cartas.
La bolsa de tela (utilizada principalmente para revolver las fichas de recursos al comienzo del juego) se puede almacenar al lado de las cartas. La bandeja de plástico con las miniaturas exclusivas de Kickstarter encaja perfectamente en el otro compartimento adyacente a las tarjetas.
Las miniaturas y bandejas de Cluckthulhu y Yolk-Sothoth deben colocarse en el compartimento más grande.
Las miniaturas y la bandeja de Dragon Mamma se pueden colocar encima de Yolk-Sothoth sin ningún problema. Puedes almacenar la hoja de reglas de Cluckthulhu al lado de la bandeja de Cluckthulhu. Set de Dados de Resina
Como hemos mencionado en actualizaciones anteriores, nuestro fabricante nos comunicó un precio incorrecto con los dados de sangre de sangre y hueso en la cotización original al no notar que eran de resina. PPC corrections complete!

Dear Chicken Army!
Today we have great news!!!
In case you missed in update #48, a month ago we received the PreProduction Copy (PPC) from the factory. We shared some videos of the unboxing along with the notes for the corrections (mostly on the plastic inserts and box sizes but a couple of other corrections regarding color).
We have been going back and forth with the new files in all languages for the printed components and some color changes of the components.
Our manufacturer let us know that the changes for the plastic inserts have been figured out as well. In a couple of weeks, the factory will share a picture of the new plastic insert in the core box and how every expansion, miniatures and sleeved cards will fit.
The plastic inserts from the expansions and the Kickstarter exclusive stretch goal minis will be able to migrate to the core box. Also, in order to reduce production of single-use plastic and avoid having a big plastic tray in the box for the Kickstarter Exclusive Stretch Goals, we asked the factory to make more of a cardboard insert for the other components (which will be stored in the core game box afterwards) and just a small plastic insert for the minis so you can place those minis well protected in the core game box.

For your convenience, we created a reference guide which will be included in your game explaining how to store your miniatures in the plastic insert after you play the game so you don't struggle with guessing the proper place of each miniature.
We also committed a last change in the colored components. White banner and tokens were changed to yellow and the resin eggs in your Kickstarter Exclusive box will be grey.

The factory has also sent us the details for the full resin dice sets so we will be incorporating this to Backerkit in case some of you want to get a full set of Blood&Bone resin dice. You will be notified in a future update when this is done.
Our team is also working on a series of How to Play videos that we will be sharing with you as the date of fulfillment gets closer.

¡Hoy tenemos grandes noticias!
En caso de que no hayas visto la actualización #48, hace un mes recibimos la copia de preproducción (PPC) de la fábrica. Compartimos algunos videos mencionando las correcciones (principalmente en los insertos/charolas de plástico y los tamaños de las cajas, pero algunas otras correcciones con respecto al color).
Hemos estado yendo y viniendo con los nuevos archivos en todos los idiomas para los componentes impresos y algunos cambios de color de los componentes.
Nuestro fabricante nos dijo que ya han rediseñado los cambios para los insertos de plástico. En un par de semanas, la fábrica compartirá una imagen del nuevo inserto de plástico en la caja del juego base y cómo cada expansión, todas las miniaturas y tarjetas con micas entrarán dentro de la caja principal.
Los insertos de plástico de las expansiones y las miniaturas exclusivas de Kickstarter podrán migrar a la caja principal. También realizamons un último cambio en los componentes de color. El estandarte blanco y susfichas se cambiaron a amarillo y los huevos de resina en la caja de exclusivos de Kickstarter serán grises.
La fábrica también nos ha enviado los detalles del paquete completo de dados de resina, por lo que lo incorporaremos a Backerkit en caso de que algunos de ustedes quieran obtener un juego completo de dados de resina Sangre y Hueso. Se les notificará en una actualización futura cuando esté listo.
Nuestro equipo también está trabajando en una serie de videos de Cómo jugar que compartiremos con usted a medida que se acerque la fecha de cumplimiento.

Hold your feathers... what's this all about?
As you may know, we enjoyed so much working with Detestable Games and Gnomosapiens to create Cluckthulhu cooperative mode, that in early 2019 we jumped onboard to publish Detestable Games' MicroKart game (basically, a dexterity tabletop experience inspired on Mario Kart). We changed the theme to make it fit in the Creature Kingdoms universe (thanks to a suggestion from a backer in the Chicken Army).
We are focused on getting War for Chicken Island finished and fulfilled so our friends from Detestable Games, who have also run successful Kickstarter campaigns, suggested to handle this project themselves with our supervision so we can accelerate our plans with Creature Kingdoms.
What plans? Glad you asked, dear chicken backers.
We looove miniatures, RPGs, boardgames and these goofy characters. We plan to release more standalone family games taking place in this universe. Their miniatures, boards and some other components will be compatible in a single asymmetric conquest game experience to invade other islands. In addition, we have plans on 2021 to release a family RPG experience with these miniatures.

We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe at home. This update might help to bring extra joy to your weekend with many unboxing videos of everything you will be getting!!
But first let's cover the important news:
Pre Production copy arrived and we are delighted!
Some small changes will be needed, mostly in the plastic inserts to make sure you can fit everything inside this huge box.
Dragon Mamma box size will be optimized.
We will include instructions for storing in order your miniatures inside the plastic tray as well as the best way to store an all-in pledge.
White components punchboard will have a revision to make the tones lighter and have more contrast with the dark-grey components.
ETA: After this changes are submitted and approved next week, we should expect 8-10 weeks of production. 2 weeks of assembly and 4-6 weeks for freight and fulfillment. We know it has been a long time but we are closer and you will absolutely love your rewards once they arrive!
We understand many of you are now willing to include Cluckthulhu, Yolk-Sothoth, Dragon Mamma, Sea Rubber-Mat, Sleeves or Color Snap Bases to your pledge. In a couple of weeks, we will post an update explaining how to do so and you will also find the Resin Dice full-set add-on. It's important to keep in mind that there are limited copies left for all of these add-ons. Backers who already included those in their pledge should not worry, your orders have been locked and charged already.
