Hello chicken army!

Time for an update; the most important thing to mention is that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ADD CLUCKTHULHU and YOLK-SOTHOTH to your order. Remember these are limited Kickstarter exclusive miniatures. All the other Kickstarter Exclusive add-ons and stretch goals are still available until June 30th. Today we will lock completed surveys and charge credit cards for your shipping and add-ons (Kickstarter pledges were already charged) we will provide a couple of extra hours. You may receive a notification of payment from either Stripe, Backerkit or Draco Studios.

Next important thing to mention is that we have heard you and 90%+ of you prefer the dice just as Gnomosapiens pictured them with Bone & Blood colors. We will work with our manufacturer to give you dice looking like that and avoid being them only white & red (still thematic but if we can go to the next level, we will do it; this will depend on our manufacturer's techniques to achieve this goal). 

Clarification 1: All dice are the same with exactly the same 6 faces.

Clarification 2: Dice will have flat faces so they don't feel unbalanced.

Clarification 3: The dice will still have the size upgrade from 14mm to 16mm.

Clarification 4: Distinguishing which dice are from each player is easy because players must place their dice on their banners and any discarded dice are place outside. Each player can't have more than 5 dice at any time.

¡Hola ejército de pollos!

Es momento para una actualización; Lo más importante por mencionar es que HOY ES EL ÚLTIMO DÍA PARA AGREGAR CLUCKTHULHU y YOLK-SOTHOTH a tu pedido. Recuerda que éstas son miniaturas limitadas y exclusivas de Kickstarter. Todos los demás componentes exclusivos de Kickstarter y las metas extendidas están disponibles hasta el 30 de junio. Hoy bloquearemos las encuestas completadas y cobraremos las tarjetas de crédito para cubrir gastos de envío y compras opcionales (ya se cobraron las promesas de Kickstarter), proporcionaremos un par de horas adicionales. Recibirás una notificación de pago de Stripe, Backerkit o Draco Studios.

La siguiente cosa importante a mencionar es que los hemos escuchado y el 90% o más de ustedes prefieren los dados que Gnomosapiens imaginó con colores de Hueso y Sangre. Trabajaremos con nuestro fabricante para darle a los dados ese aspecto y evitaremos que sean sólo blancos y rojos (aún temático, pero si podemos pasar al siguiente nivel, lo haremos; esto dependerá de las técnicas de nuestro fabricante para lograr este objetivo ).

Aclaración 1: Todos los dados son iguales con exactamente las mismas 6 caras.

Aclaración 2: los dados tendrán caras planas para que no se sientan desequilibrados.

Aclaración 3: Los dados todavía tendrán la mejora de tamaño de 14 mm a 16 mm.

Aclaración 4: Distinguir qué dados son de cada jugador es fácil porque los jugadores deben colocar sus dados sobre sus estandartes y cualquier dado descartado se coloca afuera. Cada jugador no puede tener más de 5 dados en cualquier momento.

Gracias por su ayuda y compartir sus opiniones. El equipo de Gnomosapiens está muy contento de que la mayoría de ustedes quieran que este juego se vea tal como lo concibieron.

It's been a while but here we are in our weekly-ish update with some cool stuff to show.

And now, we want to share the art re-work Gnomosapiens made for the tiles. We heard your feedback while the campaign was live and many of you asked to have terrain tiles more in tune with the humor and style for the game so here they are:

There are some chicken bones/skulls and other plants over there, the colors also are more clearly distinguishable  now. 

Dice feedback needed!

While preparing the files for Panda, Draco Studios has been going back and forth with Gnomosapines to edit text and make sure all the components are good for print. 

However... for the dice we are having trouble deciding. 

We offered in a stretch goal to make them bigger (from 14mm to 16mm) and also colored to match each player's banner. The problem is that Gnomosapiens designed the dice to make them look as tribal dice, carved from the bones of the chickens who were defeated in battle and tainted with their blood (Disclaimer: we mean visually, not actually manufactured from chicken bones and blood). 

While we understand making them fully-colored allows better gameplay, making them bone-colored with red icons complies with the vision from Gnomosapiens when they created this game, making the dice feel more in tune with the theme. 

Our stance as Draco Studios is to always hear our backers, at this point whatever the vast majority decides will be good for us.

This weekend we will be presenting our projects at Mega XP (Mexico Game Experience) one of the biggest gaming events in our country. If you are near Mexico City, we would love to meet you in person and say hi! Iván Escalante will also be there presenting a new project of his.

We will be demonstrating War for Chicken Island, displaying all the miniatures from Draco Forge including some preview of our new dragons, and running demos for the skirmish game of Eldritch Century with the NEW artwork. Your presence will make the event even more enjoyable for us!

¡Felicitaciones al nuevo líder de pollos que llegó a Chicken Island! Iván generó un boceto rápido:

Y ahora, queremos compartir el re-trabajo de arte realizado por Gnomosapiens para las losetas de territorio. Escuchamos sus comentarios mientras la campaña estaba activa y muchos de ustedes pidieron que las losetas de terreno estuvieran más en sintonía con el humor y el estilo del juego, así que aquí están:

Hay algunos huesos / cráneos de pollo y otras plantas allí, los colores también son más claramente distinguibles ahora.

Dados: opinión solicitada

Mientras preparamos los archivos para Panda, Draco Studios ha estado yendo y viniendo con Gnomosapines para editar texto y asegurarse que todos los componentes están listos para imprimir.

Sin embargo ... con los dados estamos teniendo problemas para decidir.

Ofrecimos una meta extendida para hacerlos más grandes (de 14 mm a 16 mm) y también de color para que coincida con el tablero de cada jugador. El problema es que Gnomosapiens diseñó los dados para que se vieran como dados tribales, tallados en los huesos de los pollos que fueron derrotados en la batalla y manchados con su sangre (Aviso de responsabilidad: nos referimos visualmente, no a que en realidad estén hechos de huesos y sangre de pollo).

Si bien entendemos que el hecho de que estén completamente coloreados permite una mejor jugabilidad, hacerlos de color hueso con íconos rojos cumple con la visión de Gnomosapiens cuando crearon este juego, haciendo que los dados se sientan más en sintonía con el tema.

Nuestra postura como Draco Studios es escuchar siempre a nuestros patrocinadores, en este punto, la decisión que conforme la gran mayoría será la final.

Hello chickens army!

We have been missing you, there are little news but we are committed to let you know about any big or small progress.

• 78% of the surveys has been answered. Please fill yours soon if you still haven't, remember Cluckthulhu and Yolk-Sothoth are very limited add-ons and will no longer be available in March. 
• The new leader will be defined next week. Please vote for your choice in your poll.
• We have provided Gnomosapiens feedback about the typos and consistency of terminology in the cards. We will share with you the text so you can take a look and help us spot for anything we may have missed.
• Chinese new year is coming to an end and we expect to lock surveys and charge credit cards on March 1st at 12:00 pm PST to proceed with manufacture. 
• Comic Strip script has been approved and Gnomosapiens will begin illustrating soon.

That's everything for now, we will let you know about the winning chicken leader next week!

We can't wait to start seeing the final miniatures and your painted versions of them! We just launched a painting contest for our next project which will launch in 2 weeks Dragons of the Red Moon and we don't want you to miss out.

Los hemos echado de menos, hay pocas noticias, pero estamos comprometidos a informarles sobre cualquier progreso, grande o pequeño.

• El 78% de las encuestas ha sido respondida. Rellena la tuya pronto si no lo has hecho, recuerda que Cluckthulhu y Yolk-Sothoth son objetos muy limitados y que ya no estarán disponibles en marzo.
• El nuevo líder se definirá la próxima semana. Por favor vota por tu elección en tu encuesta.
• Hemos proporcionado a Gnomosapiens comentarios sobre los errores tipográficos y la consistencia de la terminología en las tarjetas. Compartiremos con ustedes el texto para que puedas echar un vistazo y ayudarnos a detectar cualquier cosa que podamos haber pasado por alto.
• El año nuevo chino está llegando a su fin y esperamos bloquear las encuestas y cargar las tarjetas de crédito el 1 de marzo a las 12:00 pm PST para continuar con la manufactura masiva.

At this point 50% of the backers have answered your surveys (THANK YOU!) we are here to address some of the Frequently Asked Questions. Yolk-Sothoth miniature is officially unlocked!

If you are sending messages/e-mails, don't panic if we don't reply instantly, we have designated one given day in the week to answer and sort them all. We have so much stuff going on that this allows us to manage time better. To all backers who have been helping us in the comments answering questions (Carlos D, Lukas, Stefano, Axel and many more) thank you! You are helping us a great deal :)

• Where is my survey/mail? Click here to recover it: https://warforchickenisland.backerkit.com/
• Yolk-Sothoth add-on/bundle: Unlocked! The price range reflects whether you want to include the single miniature or bundle it with Cluckthulhu or Cluckthulhu and the Mat.
• Colored Snap bases: They will include 5 colors and are not required to play but allow players to have a smoother experience. 
• Sleeves: There will be enough for all expansions of this Kickstarter and a couple of spare ones.
• Local Pickup Essen: This year we are not able to offer it because we are not sure if we will have a booth but if so, will let you know and address everything directly via updates and messages.
• Local Pickup Mexico: According to our campaign advisors Aether Tower, having the option in the pledge manager usually does not provide accurate info regarding which backers will be able to collect them so once the copies arrive to Mexico, we will let you know the range of dates to pick your copies in any of the possible hubs. We will work with each friendly local game store to define if we can offer you some added benefits of picking them up in addition of getting it faster and avoiding yet one more courier that could make some issues happen.
• Switch to a different pledge level: Specially if you backed at the 'No reward tier' you may want to switch to another one to get physical items. The option is at the very beginning of your survey.
• Duplicating items: If you are in a pledge tier which indicates that you will receive the Game, Miniatures or Dragon Mamma, then you do not need to add any of those. All other items are not included in any pledge tier so you need to select them.
• Balance not making sense: Consider you are being charged for shipping in your region and depending on your country and number of items (for weight and pick-pack fees from our delivery partners). If it still doesn't make sense, send us an e-mail to [email protected]

Also, we heard your thoughts about Cluckthulhu lacking some original elements which made it look more menacing and we decided to incorporate two things on the artwork: Eyebrows and legs to make it look as it surfacing from the ocean.

• Cambie a un nivel de recompensa diferente: Especialmente si se respaldó en el 'Nivel sin recompensa' puede cambiar a otro para obtener elementos físicos. La opción está al principio de su encuesta.
